Here are the November 2016 release notes for the Milo GPS Tracking system.

New Features

Import Tool Feedback

  • The Import Tools (Client Tools and Settings) now give feedback to the user as records are imported.
  • The imported records will be validated and any invalid records will be displayed.
  • The user can choose to download the invalid records and see why each record is invalid.

Enhancements

Add Units of Measure to Reports

  • All reports with the Fuel Usage column have been enhanced to show the unit of measure in the column header.
  • The sensor data can be configured within Tools and Settings > General Settings > Map Display Options.
  • There is a new column for Show In Mobile Viewer that allows the admin to select which sensor data is displayed in the Mobile Viewer Dashboard.

Geofence Activity Report Filter

  • A Summary filter for the Duration field has been added to the Geofence Activity Report.
  • When the filter is applied the report will be grouped per item and then by geofence.
  • Totals for Duration In and Duration Out will be displayed per geofence.

Assign Existing Notification Popup Enhancement

  • When moving an item with the ‘Assign Existing’ feature and Include History is selected, there will no longer be a notification popup.
  • The Notification will only be shown if the Include History is not selected so the user is aware that any history will no longer be available.

Here are the October 2016 release notes for the Milo GPS Tracking system.

Enhancements

Sensor Data Configuration for Mobile Viewer

  • The Mobile Viewer Dashboard page has been enhanced to allow for the display of sensor data such as temperature, fuel, and battery level.
  • The sensor data can be configured within Tools and Settings > General Settings > Map Display Options.
  • There is a new column for Show In Mobile Viewer that allows the admin to select which sensor data is displayed in the Mobile Viewer Dashboard.

Add Assign Vehicle to Route Import Tool

  • The Workflow Import Tool has been enhanced to allow for Job and Route assignment to Vehicles.
  • A Vehicle Name column that has been added to the import tool.
  • If the Vehicle Name field is blank then a vehicle will not be assigned to that Job or Route.
  • If the Vehicle Name is an exact match the Vehicle will be assigned to the Job or Route.
  • If the Vehicle Name is duplicated, there will be an error message displayed and the Vehicle will not be assigned.

Display Geofence when creating new Geofence

  • The Geofence page has been enhanced to allow for existing Geofences to be displayed when creating new Geofences.
  • Within the View tab in the Geofence page, select the Geofence(s) to display then select the Create tab.

Priority of Alert Pop Up

  • The Alert popup notifications have been enhanced to consider the priority of the alerts.
  • The “high” priority alerts will show before any other alerts.

Report Custom Duration Time Displayed

  • The time that is displayed in the top right of the reports has been enhanced.
  • The full time and date will be displayed when a Custom Duration is selected in the report filter.

Assign Existing Item Notification

  • The Assign Existing functionality has been enhanced to display a warning when moving an item between Groups without History.
  • This will allow a user to be sure that the item will be moved before the move is processed.

Here are the September 2016 release notes for the Milo GPS Tracking system.

New Features

Add Group Territory

  • Territory field has been added to the Group Editor.
  • It is an optional field for informational purposes.
  • Create, edit, and delete territories in the Territory Manager in the Tools and Settings section.

Add Entity Type

  • Users can now add Types for Asset, Individual and Vehicles.
  • These Types can be used to filter items within Groups.

New Web Service

  • The web service GetCurrentPositionByIMEIwithGeofence has been added.
  • GeofenceName and GeofenceAction fields will be returned with the results of the current position.

Enhancements

Idle Time and Stop Time in History Session

  • The Session History has been enhanced to include Idle Time and Stop Time.
  • This can be found in the left panel of the Track History when a Session is selected.

Add Summary Option to Engine Hours Report

  •  The Engine Hours Report has been enhanced to include a filter option to generate a Summary Report.
  • When the Summary selection is applied in the report filters, the report will generate as a summary report.

Route Import Job from POI

  • The Workflow Route and Job import spreadsheets have been enhanced to include a POI column.
  • If the Latitude and Longitude columns are left blank, and POI column is filled and matches a POI within the same Client, then the POI Name and Location will be used for the new Job.

Maintenance History

  • The Maintenance History has been enhanced to include more information.
  • New fields for Submitted Date, Arrival Date and Work Order have been added.
  • There is also a new Service Complete checkbox that users can select when the work has been completed.
  • The Maintenance History Grid has been enhanced to display the Submitted Date, Work Order and Service Completed.
  • When a Maintenance History record is selected, the Service Name, Description and Cost records associated to the Maintenance History record will be displayed without needing to open each record.

Include Fuel in Unit Hover

  • The Unit hover from the left panel of the Tracking page has been enhanced to include Fuel values.

Collapse Map option in Now tab of the Unit Popup

  • The Map view in the Now tab of the Unit Popup has been enhanced to allow the map to be collapsed.

Track Grid – Odometer Column Enhancement

  • The Odometer Column in the Tracking Grid has been enhanced to become a numeric field.

Track Grid – Driver Column

  • The Driver column in the Track Grid has been updated to include the Driver’s full name.

Track Grid – Driver Filter

  • The Tracking Grid page has been enhanced to include the Driver Filter.

Add CODE Field to Web Service

  • The Web Service GetPOIAccessHistoryByIMEI has been enhanced to include the ‘Code’ field from the POI item in the return dataset.

New Security Resource – Geofence Category

  • GEOFENCECATEGORY_SAVE will allow a user to create and edit Geofence Categories.
  • GEOFENCECATEGORY_DELETE will allow a user to Delete Geofence Categories.  The delete feature will only work if the Geofence Category is not associated with any Geofence.

New Security Resources – Save Map View

  • The Save Map View security resource will allow for control of the Save Map View button in the tracking page.

Below are the August 2016 release notes for new features and enhancements that have been added to the Milo GPS Tracking system.

New Features

Workflow Recurrence
There is a new feature added to the Workflow Module.  We have added the ability to schedule recurring Jobs and Routes.  This feature will allow for Jobs and Routes that are commonly used to be automatically scheduled based upon the configuration.

Relocate Tool Search by IMEI
The Relocate Tool has been enhanced for the Item relocation to allow for search by IMEI.  This will allow for the administrator to quickly find the item to relocate by searching by IMEI.

Geofence Email
We have added a feature to allow for email addresses to be added to each Geofence.  This will allow for individual alerts to be sent to Geofence specific addresses. This includes a new feature in the alert configuration to allow for ‘Enable Geofence Email’.  When this option is selected, the alert will send to both the alert email addresses and the email addresses configured within the Geofence that was triggered in the alert.

Garmin Message Expiration    
The Hardware Profile configuration now has a new feature to set the Workflow Expiration in minutes.  This configuration will allow for the administrator to configure the timeout value for the messages being sent to the Garmin device.

Enhancements

Map Item Label Color
We have enhanced the visibility of the map labels to include the color assigned to the item to easily identify the items on the map.  To enable this feature, select ‘Item Name Color’ from the Map Options tab in Tools and Settings under Manage General Settings.

Unit Popup Status Tab
The Status tab within the Unit Popup has been enhanced to include information when the device is reporting outside of working hours.

Workflow Send to Mobile Terminal
There is an enhancement to the Workflow Module when using the ‘Send to Mobile Terminal’ feature.  The ‘Send to Mobile Terminal’ feature is now available when editing the Job and Route editor when the Vehicle is configured to use a Garmin device.

Maintenance Record Report Enhancement
The new Maintenance Record Report has been enhanced to show additional details for the Maintenance service.  There is a new filter option for ‘Include Maintenance Service Details’ that will allow for the Service details to be included when the report is generated. The Service Details will induce Service Name, Service Description and Service Cost.

Print Map History    
The Print map feature has been enhanced to reflect the changes filtered on the map to show matching positions that are displayed in the history.  This enhancement will allow for the positions on the map to match the positions in the text.

Event Detail Report – Event Filter
The Event Detail Report has been enhanced to include a filter to select specific events to show on the report.  This enhancement will allow for users to generate event reports based on any specific event they choose.

Schedule Command Tool Enhancement
The Schedule Command Tool has been enhanced to improve visibility of the active items so no inactive items will be displayed.  This enhancement will allow the user to only view active items when create a new schedule for a command.

View Command Messages New Columns
The View Command Messages page within the Tools and Settings has been enhanced to include additional information.  Columns have been added for Item Name and Command Status.  These columns will also be included if the user exports the grid to Excel.

Integration Service Manager
The Integration Service Manager has been enhanced so it is now easier to interface with integrations that require external data.

ELD Mandate Is On Its Way

The ELD (electronic logging device) mandate will be here very soon. If you are a trucking company or a driver then most likely you will be required to use an electronic logging device to record hours-of-service (HOS).

If you don’t already use an ELD then you have 2 choices, adopt one now or procrastinate and wait until the last minute. If you adopt one now you will start to get the benefits right away. You will also save the headache of implementing a new system at the last minute.

Milo GPS: Location List

Location List

The Location List is a list of all the locations that a vehicle has visited. It includes stops, movements, and idling. The list makes it easy to review the vehicle’s activities in an easy to use format.

Every location includes a date and time, address (including city, state, and zip code), and speed. The Location List is available in the Session Info Box on the Tracking Page.

Where Is the Location List?

The Location List is located on the Tracking page in the Session Info Box. Follow the steps below to find it.

1. Go to Tracking page -> click on the green Session Info Box next to the vehicle name that you want to see.

3. Click on the Location tab.

Change Date

You can very easily change the date of the list to see locations from different days.

1. Click Options

2. Choose Most Recent, Last 7 Days, or Custom. If you want to select a specific date choose Custom.

Milo GPS: Tracking Page

Tracking Page

The Tracking page is where you go to see your vehicles, equipment, or people on a map. The map displays the most recent location.

The toolbar at the top of the page provides a variety of easy to use tools to help you navigate and manage your fleet. Below is a description of the tools and other items on the page.

Alert: indicates if an alert is currently active.

Filter: filter the vehicles and items by Group.

Geofence: click the button to display the geofences on the map.

KML: export the current locations of the vehicles to a Google KML file.

Labels: click the button to turn on/off the map labels.

Landmark: click the button to display the landmarks on the map.

Last Update: the amount of time in hours and minutes since the last GPS update.

Map Layer: click the arrow to change from map view to satellite view.

Map Refresh: the time in seconds before the map will refresh with new vehicle locations. Click the down arrow to change the refresh rate.

Name: name of the vehicle or driver.

Print: click the button to print the map.

Query: search the Google database for addresses, businesses, etc. If it’s found a marker will be placed on the map.

Ruler: click the button to show the ruler. You can use the ruler to measure distance and calculate area.

Save Map View: click the button to save the current map view.

Session Info Box: click the button to open the Session Info box.

Status: indicates if the vehicle is stopped, idling, or moving.

Street View: drag the icon on top of the map to display Google StreetView.

Traffic: click the button to turn on/off the Google Traffic layer.

Vehicle Location: last know location of vehicle or item.

Zoom In/Out: click the + sign to move in closer on the map. Click the – sign to move out on the map.

Milo GPS: Stop Report

Start/Stop Summary Report

The Start/Stop Summary Report is a report that lists all the stops a vehicle or item makes for a period of time. It is an easy to use report that provides valuable information. Use this report to track when a vehicle arrives and leaves from a stop. Use this report to alleviate customer complaints such as not arriving on time or leaving early.

Each row in the report is one stop. It lists the date and time the vehicle arrived and left.

Trip Start Time: the date and time the vehicle left from the previous stop

Trip End Time: the date and time the vehicle arrived to the current stop

Group: group the vehicle belongs to

Vehicle: vehicle name

Start Location: the location where the vehicle left from

End Location: the current stop

Max Speed: maximum speed for the trip

Trip Duration: the length of time the trip took

Stop Duration: total stop time

Total Duration: trip duration + stop duration

Distance: distance between last stop and current stop

Milo GPS: Search Map

How to Search the Map

You can easily search the map on the Tracking page to find addresses, businesses, or any other feature in the Google database. You can even search for latitude/longitude coordinates. If Google finds your query a marker will be placed on the map.

Click on the Search button on the Tracking page to open the query box. Type the address or other feature that your are looking for and press the enter key.
